Wedding Planners in Israel: Carrots, Potatoes and “I Do?”
אנחנו מפיקים אירועים
Meet Gev and Inbar, founders of Bebke, wedding planners in Israel based out of Even Yehuda.
They are the proud parents of two adorable children and fully understand the importance of bringing each bride and groom’s vision to life. This passion stems back to their own bespoke wedding in Israel, which took place at an out of the box venue – a carrots and potatoes factory.

We chatted about their incredible wedding, the guiding principles of their business and Israel wedding planning in general.
Q: Tell me a bit more about yourselves:
Gev: I am 41 years old, I have a degree in Business and Law from IDC and I am originally from Ramat Aviv. During my service in 669, the Israeli air force rescue unit, I perfected my organizational skills and close attention to detail. Before joining Inbar at Bebke full-time, I ran a few startups. I believe I have two sides – one is more business-oriented and the other is more creative. I enjoy making art in my spare time, including: wood carving, sewing clothes, creating jewelry, and sculptures. While I was helping Inbar create crafts for events, I realized that I wanted to join her 100% of the time. So, I found another CEO to run my startup and went all-in with Inbar.
Inbar: I studied art and dance at an art high school in Tel Aviv. I then went on to study Sociology and Anthropology at Tel Aviv University. I opened my first business at the age of 25, which matched qualified staff to run high-level events in Israel. I knew I wanted to do something on my own since independence is very important to me.

As I attended events at many venues around Israel, I wondered why things were done in a certain way. I also noticed that they served the same food over and over again and the experience wasn’t unique to the couple. Every wedding began to feel the same. I realized that people were missing a lot of inspiration that can be brought into an event.
This is when I began to envision a different type of wedding and how special a bespoke celebration can be. This is when we decided to open our own event management company in Israel.
Q: How did you get into the wedding planning business?
A: When we began to plan our own wedding, we knew that we wanted to do things in a meaningful way. We almost gave up on this dream until we met our Rabbi. He mentioned a carrots and potatoes packaging factory and he connected us to the venue. We really wanted to bring the essence of community and romance into our wedding. We emphasized the feeling of face to face connection by bringing everyone together. The event was inclusive of all guests – no matter if they were young, old, loved to dance or preferred to sit on the side. It was a true celebration of life and family, complete with home-cooked food and live musicians.
People left our wedding feeling very “full” and when we saw guests after the event, they each mentioned a different detail. Our wedding was even published on a wedding blog and we started to receive phone calls asking if we could create a unique wedding for other couples. This has become the essence of our business – creating dream weddings in an authentic way.
As wedding planners in Israel, we don’t believe in “copy-paste” weddings and for this reason, we have never used the same venue twice.
